That said, there is a *fantastic* episode of the Batman animated series from the early nineties where West plays an actor being typecast as a superhero character he played years earlier, who actually inspired Bruce Wayne/Batman in many ways.

He was also considered as a cameo for Bruce's father in one of the Burton films.

It's... very 40s. It was a serial, but has been put on DVD as a single feature. Let's just say the villain of the piece is Japanese, because, well, in the 40s, Japanese were villains.
