I am Jack's self-loathing
Well, that was fun, in an entirely sarcastic tone.

Coming down a wet hill, the light turns amber. Note this is close enough to the light as to be valid to continue on through.

But the car in front of me accelerates... then suddenly decides against this, braking sharply, and skidding down the hill.

Of course, because of this, I now have to plant my foot to the floor, skidding not only down the hill, but into the red light.

So I can expect a traffic violation fine sometime anywhere in the next six months, which I fully intend to contest.

Was there a red light camera at the intersection?

I'm pretty sure there were two flashes, one for them and one for me.

I think red light cameras normally take 2 pictures, so they can tell the difference between someone just creeping over the line and someone actually driving through the intersection

Did the light have a camera?
If not I wouldn't worry.

I'm pretty sure it did. It's the lights where Charles St. meets the freeway.

You wont get a red light ticket unless you were speeding at the time. The camera take two photos to work out the speed of the car.
